Kress Drums

A giant drum believed to be the first of its kind in the UK - is now available for the ultimate group music-making session!

The drum is 1.10 metres in diameter and 150mm deep. It can be rented out to schools, playgroups and nurseries in the Bristol area or is available to buy for £595.

It has been made by craftsman Gerhard Kress from Bristol who says that Children are so excited when they first see it that it keeps their attention. It is good for teaching rhythm and playing musical games as well as improving coordination and cooperation for all ages and abilities. It's also excellent for helping communication skills.

It can sit on the floor to be played but it also comes with legs. It can be hung on the wall when it's not being used. The membrane is tough and can't easily be damaged.
