Frame Drum

This drum is mostly found in the Middle East. It is played hand-held and at a high tension. This type of drum is made in the KRESS DRUMS workshop with a tensioning device. High tension is therefore assured at all times and it is possible to tune the drum to a particular pitch. The rim is narrow and the head is goat skin which is very tough and works well under the high tension.

The drum head is goat skin which can be mounted in off-white, black and red.

The frame can be finished in a number of colours or inlay. An attractive ribbon can be specified.
